Sleep Endoscopy – A global innovation in our practice

The endoscope system by Olympus (EXERA III ENV-HQ) is globally unique and specially developed for the practice of Dr. Robert Bodlaj and used in combination with a PSG-device from SOMNOmedics. It revolutionised the processes of sleep endoscopy significantly.

In this examination, patients with a sleep-related breathing problem (SBAS) such as sleep apnoea or snoring is placed in a state of artificial sleep. The depth of sleep is measured and recorded in real time and an endoscope video is recorded in HD quality.

This makes precise diagnosis of the constriction in the throat area that causes sleep apnoea for the first time independent of the depth of sleep.
